A Chinese pale celadon jade ruyi sceptre, mark of Jiaging but probably modern, of typical serpentine form, the head carved in low relief with a dragon, the stem in high relief with two figures holding lotus stems, the terminal with a bat, the reverse incised with a lengthy text, possibly a poem, above a pseudo seal mark, length 35.8cm.
