A Chinese cream silk embroidered shawl, early 20th century, worked in coloured threads with a central design of scattered birds and butterflies flying about opposing flower baskets and birds amidst foliage to corners, within a border of figures, deer, birds, pavilions, trees and flowers, on a cream ground, 166cm x 157cm, within a tasselled border.
