A pair of Continental porcelain Meissen style cabinet soup plates, late 19th century, painted to each centre with birds perched on branches within scattered insects, the rims with floral garlands tied with blue ribbons within gilt dentil edges, crossed swords in underglaze blue to bases with asterisk and impressed numerals, diameter 22.5cm.
