LOT 1155
A George III oak longcase clock with eight day movement striking on a bell, the cast iron false plate stamped 'Owen', the painted break arch dial with black Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds and date aperture, inscribed 'Cragg Horsham', the hood with moulded arch pediment, glazed door and fluted columns, the trunk with arched door, plain base and plinth, height 207cm, with pendulum and two weights (some faults). Note: Thomas Cragg is recorded as a clockmaker working in Horsham between 1785 and 1807.
