A Chinese Canton famille rose porcelain bough pot, early to mid-19th century, of flared square form, finely painted with opposing panels of figural scenes, flanked by a pair of gilt foliate handles, above opposing panels of cockerel and chicken with rocks and flowers and ducks on a lotus pond, all reserved against a gilt ground filled with flowers, fruit and butterflies, height 19cm (lacking pierced cover).
