BYRON, George Gordon Noel, Lord. Childe Harold's Pilgrimage. Canto the third. London: John Murray, 1816. Second issue, first variant, 8vo (222 x 139mm.) (Browning throughout and occasional spotting.) Original card wrappers (creasing to edges). Provenance: Mary Byron (name inscribed in ink to half-title). Note: Mary Byron (née Pole) was the wife of Lord Byron's cousin, George Anson Byron. After Byron's death in 1824, George Anson succeeded the poet and became the 7th Baron Byron.
