BINDING. - M. GRAVELOT. Almanach Iconologique année 1771. Paris: [n.d. but 1770.] 32mo (110 x 60mm.) Engraved throughout, 12 plates allegorical of the months. (Occasional very minor soiling.) Contemporary white calf, each cover with a red morocco onlay frame tooled in gilt with shaped apertures revealing under-mica panels of red, gold and silver metallic paper or foil decorative motifs surrounding an oval watercolour vignette of a couple, the flat spine in six compartments with alternating rectangular onlays, gilt turn-ins, mirror to inside front cover, moiré silk endpapers, g.e. (spine faded, foil slightly shifted, mica split in small areas, foil perishing to mirror).
