A Chinese blanc-de-Chine porcelain figure of Guanyin, Qing dynasty, modelled seated upon the back of a recumbent elephant, indistinctly impressed square seal mark to back, height 22.5cm (neck, arm and trunk repaired, chips and losses). Note: a similar model is illustrated by P.J. Donnelly in 'Blanc de Chine', 1969, plate 144c.
