A 1796 pattern infantry officer's sword with curved single-edged fullered blade, detailed with GR cypher and Royal crest with foliate and trophy motifs and marked 'J.J. Runkel Solingen' to the back edge, blade length 79cm, brass hilt with later applied leather grip, with steel scabbard.
