LOT 450
A late 19th/early 20th century Indian silver rose bowl by Grish Chunder Dutt of Calcutta, the circular body finely chased with a horse racing scene being watched by crowds with trees and grandstand beyond, on a landscape decorated foot, detailed 'Grish C. Dutt Calcutta' to footrim, height 17.7cm, diameter 29.5cm. Note: during his time, Grish Chunder Dutt was regarded as the finest silversmith in Calcutta, producing exquisite pieces depicting Bengali village life as well as more unusual pieces, such as this bowl.
