Petrus Cornelis Weyts - 'James Pattison of London', reverse painting on glass, signed and dated 1837, 46cm x 57cm, within a stained wood frame. Note: James Pattison was a merchant sailing ship built in 1828. She made one voyage for the British East India Company to Calcutta in 1828, before two convict transport voyages to Australia in 1829 and 1837.
