A fine 19th century carved ivory oliphant (hunting horn), decorated in relief with an oval profile portrait of George I and dated '1715' opposing a Royal coat of arms, otherwise worked with scenes of hunting with various beasts running through a forest, the mouthpiece in the form of a boar's head, applied with three white metal straps, length 58cm.
