A Sèvres porcelain oval jardinière, late 18th century with later decoration, painted with opposing panels, one filled with a courting couple accompanied by a dog, the other side with a flower and fruit spray, reserved against a bleu céleste ground with gilt enriched foliate framing, interlaced 'L's enclosing a '9' above three dots to base, length 30.5cm (small chip to rim and lacking divider to interior).
