LOT 2461
A late Victorian gold, ivory and citrine seal, the terminal finely carved in the form of a hand clasping a serpent, the chased gold mount supporting a circular citrine engraved with the Victoria Cross, length 5cm. Note: this seal was purportedly presented to Pte Williams VC by members of the Army Hospital Corps in appreciation of Williams' gallant and heroic actions on 22nd and 23rd January 1879 at Rorke's Drift.
