A Japanese underglaze blue and red porcelain teapot and cover by Makuzu Kozan, Meiji period, of oval form, moulded in relief with pinkish red carp leaping from and above blue and white waves, below blue clouds and vapours rising to a pierced rim, the cover with carp finial, underglaze blue six character mark to base, height 15cm (damage to pierced rim).
