A Victorian Scottish mahogany longcase clock with eight day movement striking on a bell, the painted break arch dial with scene of castle, bridge and river to arch above Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds and date dials, inscribed 'Brotherson & Thomson, Dalkeith', the hood with swan neck pediment, glazed door and turned columns, the trunk with bowfront rectangular door, on a panelled base and bracket feet, height 220cm, with pendulum, two weights and winding key.
