A Japanese exhibition quality ivory okimono figure of a lady by Munehisa, Meiji period, superbly carved with finely detailed hair and facial detail, standing in a voluminous gown enveloped by a scarf trailing to the ground on both sides, a fan held in her downturned right hand, carved red lacquer two character signature plaque to back of gown and smaller red lacquer signature plaque of Munehisa to base, height 32cm (chip to edge of base and natural shrinkage hairlines).
