A Chinese Canton export lacquer folding fan, mid-19th century, the guards and fourteen sticks decorated in gilt with figures and flowers, the paper panel painted to both sides with a figural scene of a dignitary and attendants in a pavilion setting, each figure with appliqué ivory facial detail, length 29cm (paper panel split), with a lacquer rectangular case with hinged lid.
