A Japanese Satsuma earthenware koro by Hankinzan, Meiji period, the squat circular body painted and gilt with butterflies and millefleurs beneath a red keyfret band and simulated brocade rim and upright handles, raised on similarly decorated tripod scroll legs, gilt signature seal mark to base, height 11.2cm (minor restoration), together with a hardwood cover.
