A Jean Michel Schlumberger Tiffany & Co gold, demantoid garnet, sapphire and enamelled brooch, designed as an exotic fish, the body mounted with circular cut demantoid garnets and sapphires, each eye set with a cabochon sapphire, the mouth grasping an enamelled simulated branch coral, the hinge detailed 'Tiffany Schlumberger', the pin detailed '585', length 6cm. Note: Jean Michel Schlumberger designed for Tiffany & Co from 1956 to the late 1970s and became a vice-president of the company. His clients included Gloria Vanderbilt, Elizabeth Taylor, the Duchess of Windsor and Audrey Hepburn.
