A Meissen porcelain Kakiemon style beaker and saucer, late 18th century, the saucer of five petalled flower shape, the beaker of gently swollen tapered cylindrical form, both enamelled with the Two Quail pattern heightened in gilding beneath chocolate brown rims, crossed swords and star marks in underglaze blue to bases, diameter of saucer 13cm, height of beaker 6.1cm. Note: a similar pair of beaker and saucers sold at Bonhams London, lot 39, 16th November 2005.
