A Japanese Shakudo mixed metal inlaid bronze two-section box and cover, Meiji period, of conjoined circular and octagonal form, the top decorated in relief with scenes of cranes beside a willow tree and travelling mice, the sides engraved with seated figure, birds, branches and waterfall, length 12cm.
