Half-title, frontispiece with tissue-guard, title, 2 folding maps, 16 full-page plates (Creasing and small tear to the larger map, one or two repairs to the plates, new pastedowns and endpapers.) Original green cloth (rebacked with original spine laid down, bumped to extremities, slight fading to gilt). - And eight more volumes on African travel (including John Speke, 'The Journal of the Discovery of the Source of the Nile', 1863, first edition, 8vo) (9).
