MILITARY HISTORY. - Frederic WHYTE and A. Hilliard ATTERIDGE. A History of the Queen's Bays (The 2nd Dragoon Guards) 1685… 1929. London: Jonathan Cape, 1930. 8vo (221 x 143mm.) Plates, some colour, occasional maps printed in red and black, a copy of 'The Queen's Bays Short History 1939-1945' adhesive taped in at rear and a copy of 'Presentation of a New Standard to The Queen's Bays' and 'Inspection of the Regiment… 1954' loosely inserted at rear. (Somewhat spotted, first few leaves adhesive taped in, adhesive tape now discoloured, occasional ink annotations.) Original cloth, cutting from dust-jacket adhered to front free endpaper (slightly affected by damp, spine slightly faded). Provenance: Ronald G.M. Newton (signature dated 1930 to front free endpaper). - And three others on military history (including W.R. Beddington. 'A History of the Queen's Bays (The 2nd Dragoon Guards) 1929-1945', Winchester: 1954, 8vo) (4).
