(Occasional spotting, minor damp-staining to additional title.) Original buckram boards, paper titling to spine (bumped to extremities). Note: this work became the source for Bertolt Brecht's play 'The Caucasian Chalk Circle'. Provenance: Robert Milnes-Crewe (bookplate to the front pastedown); The West Horsley Place Collection.
