VÁMBÉRY, Arminius. History of Bokhara… from the earliest period down to the present. London: Henry S. King & Co., 1873. First edition, 8vo (217 x 130mm.) A 4pp. tipped-in a.l.s to Lord Houghton to whom he dedicated this book. (Some spotting to fore-edge and 6pp. of tipped-in newspaper cuttings to rear blanks.) Contemporary half straight-grain morocco, five raised bands with black morocco lettering piece to the spine. - And another volume relating to Bokhara. Provenance: Robert Milnes-Crewe (bookplate on the front pastedowns); The West Horsley Place Collection (2).
