BRAYLEY, Edward Wedlake, and Gideon MANTELL. A Topographical History of Surrey. London: G. Willis, Great Piazza, Covent Garden, 1850. 5 vols., 8vo (230 x 146mm.) Profusely illustrated with steel-engraved plates, most with tissue-guards, folding coloured maps, text illustrations. (Moderate spotting to verso of plates). Near contemporary red morocco with blind and gilt border decoration, the spines in six compartments with raised bands, lettered in the second and third, the others with repeat decoration in gilt, gilt turn-ins, g.e. (rubbing to all extremities). Provenance: The West Horsley Place Collection.
