A large William IV needlework sampler by Eliza Anna Sophia Jones, 'Work done at the Free School, May the 21st 1836', worked with a reserve of a seated cat, surrounded by flowering trees, plants, animals and birds, including a reserve enclosing a family of peacocks, within a strawberry border, 66cm x 66cm, within an ebonized frame. Provenance: from the estate of the late Nellie Lenson-Smith (1928-2017).
