A Chinese cinnabar lacquer rectangular box, Qing dynasty, the top carved in relief with an elder and two boys in a landscape with pine tree, framing a central panel inset with a carved and pierced celadon jade plaque, decorated with lotus and scrolling leaves, the sides decorated with lotus and scrolling tendrils, length 12.3cm, together with a cinnabar lacquer cylindrical box, the top carved with figures in a landscape, the sides with a trellis ground, height 10.2cm (some faults).
