A Chinese fuzhou (foochow) lacquer dish, early 20th century, modelled as a lotus leaf supported by an openwork cage of lotus stems enclosing a chilong clambering from beneath, length 7.5cm, together with a brown and gilt lacquer brush rest of scroll form, length 8cm, a lacquer circular box and cover, decorated with two fish, diameter 8cm, and a small group of other Oriental items. Provenance: from the estate of the late Nellie Lenson-Smith (1928-2017).
