LOT 456
An Edwardian silver mounted tortoiseshell and burgundy leather rectangular desk tidy, the folding tortoiseshell front applied with a silver oval panel decorated in relief with a bird perched amongst leaves and bulrushes above lily pads and water, Birmingham 1908 by W.E. Houlston, retailed by Asprey of London, width 22cm, together with a George V silver mounted desk notepad holder, the sprung front applied with the name 'Roy', on a rectangular base, London 1913 by Andrew Barrett & Sons, length 10.5cm, and a silver mounted desk aide-mémoire of rectangular form with diagonal reeded decoration, length 16cm. Provenance: from the estate of the late Nellie Lenson-Smith (1928-2017).
