An early 20th century Arts and Crafts style mahogany elbow chair, possibly designed by Joseph Maria Olbrich, the comb back with a central foliate inlaid reserve above a padded seat and shaped open arms, raised on square tapering legs and flared block feet, height 106cm, width 58cm, depth 50cm. Note: similar designs of chair can be seen attributed to Olbrich with open panel backs, including one illustrated in 'Klassiker des modernen Möbildesign' by Dorothee Müller, pl.36.
