A mid-18th century chinoiserie lacquered longcase clock with eight day movement striking on a bell, the 12-inch brass break arch dial with boss to arch inscribed 'Jabez Stock, London', above a chapter ring with Roman hours and outer Arabic minute numerals, framing a matt centre with subsidiary seconds and date aperture, all cornered with cast and pierced gilt mask and foliate scroll spandrels, the hood with arched pediment and brass ball finials above glazed door and side panels, the trunk door decorated with scenes of figures in landscape framing a glazed lenticle, on a similarly decorated base and bracket feet, height 211cm (some faults and alterations), with pendulum and two weights.
