An enamelled and foil backed colourless gem set three section mourning pendant, probably 18th century, commemorating the death of Charles I, the oval centre painted with a head and shoulders bust portrait of Charles I within a pierced surround, the white enamelled reverse painted in black with 'C.R' beneath a crown framed by a foliate wreath, length 2.5cm, the hinged pierced scrollwork surmount and terminal mounted with circular colourless gems, the white enamelled surrounds and backs painted with black foliate scrolls, total length 10.5cm (faults), together with a gilt metal, enamel and rose cut diamond set toothpick with hand finial, length 6.3cm, and a similar gilt metal and enamel model of a sceptre, length 11.2cm (faults), all fitted together within a rectangular shagreen case with hinged lid.
