A Japanese inlaid iron tetsubin (tea kettle), Meiji period, the squat circular body cast in textured relief framing opposing panels, one depicting a crab and rocks, the other with iris, each picked out in gilt, flanked by a short spout, with inlaid overhead swing handle, the brown patinated bronze cover with silvered kiku bud finial, the underside with incised and gilt four character signature, height 16cm.
