A Chinese four-fold 'coromandel' screen, Kangxi period, one side finely lacquered, carved and coloured with a central rectangular panel crossing over all four folds, filled with scholars or immortals enjoying the islands, bridges and pathways of a pleasure garden, including Shoulao on buffalo and a dragon amidst clouds, within a keyfret frame, the border filled with 'Hundred Antique' motifs, within an outer border of shou characters and stylized dragons, the reverse undecorated, height 262cm, total length 299cm (some faults and probably reduced from a six-fold screen).
