BRYOLOGY. - F.E. TRIPP. British Mosses… their homes, aspects, structure, and uses. London: George Bell and Sons, 1874-1888. 2 vols., (vol. 1 first edition; vol. 2 new edition), small 4to (260 x 190mm.) Vol. 1 with 17 hand-coloured plates and 8pp. publisher's advertisements to rear, vol. 2 with 25 hand-coloured plates. Original boards, blind-stamped, floral gilt design to upper cover of volume 2 (bumping to all extremities and scuffing to upper board of volume 2). Provenance: vol. 2 ex-library copy (small stamps to plates and bookplate). - And three other volumes on moss (5).
