Frontispiece with tissue-guard, decorative title, 2 folding coloured maps, numerous illustrations, 4pp. publisher's advertisements at rear. (Pencil name to the front-free endpaper and lightly drawn pencil illustration to front-free endpaper.) Original limp cloth (creases to the front cover and bumped to extremities, small wrinkle to rear cover). - And one other volume by Alfred Russell Wallace ('Darwinism', 1889, second edition, 8vo. With the bookplate of Sir Henry Rudolf Reichel, founder of the University of Wales) (2).
