LOT 1162
A late 19th century French ormolu and porcelain clock garniture, the clock with eight day movement striking on a bell, the porcelain dial with black and gilt centre framed by a terracotta glazed band with black Roman numerals and inscribed 'Aird & Thomson, Glasgow', the case with urn surmount painted with a bust portrait of a maiden against a terracotta ground with gilt borders, above a square plinth, turned and key fret decorated side scrolls, on a stepped base and winged paw feet, height 39cm (lacking pendulum and bell), flanked by a pair of matching twin branch candelabra, height 37cm (one lacking snuffer and minor faults).
