LOT 804
A 19th century teak and brass bound naval officer's trunk, the ends with rope carrying handles, bearing maker's stamp 'J.M. Edmond, Calcutta', one end inscribed 'Linzee', raised on sledge supports, height 46cm, width 79cm, depth 43cm. Note: the Linzee family of naval officers included Samuel Hood Linzee (1773-1820), who commanded HMS Nemisis, Zealous and Warrior during the Napoleonic wars.
