LOT 2001
A mid-Victorian burr walnut bonheur-du-jour, crossbanded in tulipwood and with boxwood stringing, the back with pierced brass gallery, the two central drawers flanked by cupboards, one fitted with drawers, the top inset with leather and with a serpentine border above a concealed frieze drawer, on cabriole legs with cast gilt metal leaf and fruit knees and foliate sabots, height 104cm, width 106cm, depth 58cm. Provenance: from the estate of the late John Young (1927-2017).
