A set of late 17th/early 18th century Continental silkwork and silver braided ecclesiastical vestments, comprising chasuble, chalice veil, burse and maniple, worked in coloured silks and silver thread with scrolling foliage, flowerheads and leaves and bordered with wide bands of silver thread foliate brocade, all on an ivory silk ground, the chasuble bearing an archbishop's coat of arms with green galero and lion rampant, chasuble length 116cm, width 70cm, chalice veil 68cm x 61cm, burse 27cm x 26cm, maniple length 134cm (overall deterioration of silk ground, chasuble front and back split and framed separately).
