LOT 340
An early Victorian silver gilt mounted ivory tusk tankard, the oval domed hinge lid with foliate finial and scroll thumbpiece, the ivory body carved in low relief with fruiting pomegranate and lychee branches above rocks, lingzhi fungus, ducks and lotus pond, the front applied with a pair of silver gilt vertical fruiting vine bands united by a rococo scroll cartouche, opposing a foliate capped scroll handle, London 1845 by George Frederick Pinnell, height 28cm.
