A leather bound album containing 120 cartes-de-visite photographs of eminent figures of the 19th century, including Queen Victoria, Prince Albert, Duke and Duchess of Teck, Emperor of Russia, Charles Dickens, Victor Hugo, David Livingstone, John Ruskin, Alfred Lord Tennyson, Washington Irving, William Makepeace Thackeray, Empress Eugenie, Holman Hunt and Charles Kingsley, together with a few cabinet-size photographs and items of ephemera.
