A Capodimonte porcelain casket and cover, late 19th century, surmounted with a detachable figure group of Bacchus and Ariadne accompanied by a satyr, putto and seated leopard, the cover moulded in relief with a band of classical mythological figural scenes, applied with scallop shell corner crestings, each laden with ribbon tied cornucopia and flowers, all within foliate and fruit moulded border and foliate rim, the sides with similarly moulded figural panels divided by mask and strapwork cartouche corners, on a scale, foliate and green and gilt stepped base, underglaze blue crowned 'N' to underside of figure, length 36cm (restoration to neck of Ariadne, chip to base and minor firing cracks).
