A Chinese carved boxwood figure group of an immortal and attendant, late 19th century, the seated immortal modelled twisting his moustache and resting his bare left foot upon his right knee, beside him an attendant offering libation, the rocky base issuing a pine tree with green stained ivory needles above, height 21cm.
