BINDING. The Holy Bible containing the Old and New Testaments. Oxford: 1869. 8vo (167 x 101mm.) Contemporary morocco-backed Dieppe ivory boards, the upper cover elaborately carved with a nativity scene above a quotation Luke 2:18, all within a floral border, the spine gilt in six compartments, lettered in the second compartment, the others with repeat decoration in gilt, gauffered gilt edges, silk endpapers (ivory very slightly bowing).
