London: B. Alsop and Tho. Fawcet, 1641. 4to (177 x 128mm.) Woodcut frontispiece diagram of a circulatory system, 1 woodcut illustration of a skeleton, woodcut decorative initials, head and tail pieces. (Browning, spotting and some soiling, pp.139-142 lacking and replaced in facsimile, thinning of paper with associated minor loss to p.89 and pp.195-200, p.255 torn and repaired with minor loss, some marginal damp-staining, affected by damp towards the rear with associated staining and thinning of paper, margins reinforced to fragile table leaves.) 20th century calf (rebound using some contemporary calf to upper-cover, lower-cover recornered but unfinished with board left exposed, preliminary blanks with loss and repairs). Provenance: William Hoar (inscribed and dated 1742 to preliminary blank).
