LOT 1115
A late 17th century gilt brass mounted ebonized spring driven table clock, the eight day twin fusee movement with re-converted verge escapement, striking on a bell, the backplate finely engraved with flowers and inscribed 'Eduardus Coupe Londini', the square brass dial with matt centre and silvered date aperture, framed by a silvered chapter ring with black Roman hour numerals and outer Arabic minutes, cornered with cast and pierced gilt cherub mask spandrels, the brass mounted ebonized case with pierced and cast gilt brass basket top and swing carry handle, flanked by four urn finials above glazed doors and sides, on a moulded rectangular base and turned feet, height 36.5cm (alterations and restoration).
