LOT 1105
A mid-19th century figured mahogany regulator longcase clock, circa 1840, the brass four pillar movement with deadbeat escapement and maintaining power, the 13 inch 'split dials' design silvered brass circular dial with outer Arabic seconds ring framing subsidiary hours and minutes, inscribed 'John Pengelly Barnstaple' above 'Regulator', the hood with carved foliate scroll surmount above a circular glazed door and cut corners, the trunk with cut corners and glazed rectangular door on a plain base, height 198cm, with pendulum, brass weight and winder.
